The looting of historic sites continues in Chaoui countries, the latest being the mosaic called “tiger”. Discovered by chance during an excavation of wells by a farmer in Tazoult around in the wilaya of Hbathent (Batna), which was the subject of a study as part of a French archaeological mission in Algeria.

The mosaic in very good state of preservation is part of a house with peristyle (700m² villa) and represents a tiger drinking from a jug of wine in honor of Dionysus.
